Description: Join me for another east ride around Carson City: From the start we will head up to Edmonds, then to Fairview, 5th, Carson River Road, Deer Run, Arrowhead, and then back to the start via Carson Street. Everyone is welcome. We will go as fast as the slowest person.

Description: We'll ride out-and-back on the Kingsbury Stinger Trail up to the Tahoe Rim Trail from the new lower bypass section on Sewer Plant Road. This is a mostly non-technical ride, with lots of swoopy and flowy sections on the downhill. Since this is an out-and-back ride, feel free to go as far (or short) as you like. If we have time and daylight once we hit the TRT intersection near the top, we can extend the ride north towards the Bench before turning around and descending to the start. Don't forget headlamps (just in case) and an extra layer. We'll finish with a post-ride debrief at one of the restaurants in the area.

Description: Our annual camping and riding weekend at Lake Davis and Gold Lakes Loop Ride. AACC Board has authorized payment for the group campsite at Grasshopper Flat. Parking for 5 vehicles and accomodating 25 campers. However, all campsites are first come first serve after September 6. For something new, I want to start at the L.T. Davis rest area at 9:30, turn on Rocky Point Road, take the bike path along the river through Portola, Portola McLears Road to Highway 89, Gold Lake Highway, Highway 49, Westside Road back to 70. Feel free to do the loop from Graeagle, or from the campsite, if you enjoy the final climb up Lake Davis Rd. MTB/gravel ride around Lake Davis on Sunday.

highway cleanup for the season. It's an easy way to help the club, the environment, and your community! We’ll meet at Turtle Rock Park community building at 0800 and spend an hour cleaning the highway roadside of litter.. At the building department there are picnic tables and a restroom, to relax a little and socialize after the ride. Please wear long pants and long sleeves for this. At roughly 0900 we’ll regroup and set off to ride either Monitor or Ebbetts, whichever the group prefers. The more folks who show up, the easier, faster and more fun this goes, so if you’re on the fence, c’mon out!
P.S: please wear pants and closed toe shoes for safety!

Ride Title: Carson City Everest Challenge
Description: Muscle Powered and the Carson Senators MTB team are hosting a fully supported Everest Challenge on Kings Canyon Road in Carson City on September 26. You can sign up for a 1/4 Everest, Base Camp, or Full Everest. Kings Canyon Road will be closed to traffic (apart from residents) for the event. This event is serving as a fundraiser for Muscle Powered and the Senators.

Description: This is a beautiful lollipop ride on lightly traveled roads and good pavement around Union Valley Reservoir and thru the surrounding forests. We’ll start out with a moderate climb up Wright's Lake road for 6 miles before turning onto (mostly) quiet forest service roads, passing Ice House Reservoir before looping around Union Valley Reservoir. New bike paths connecting the campgrounds on the east side of the reservoir will make for a pleasant tour around the lake. Water and restrooms should be available at several points along the ride (miles 13, 28, 43 and 49). Near the end of the tour, we'll have the option of riding up to Wright's Lake and back (4 miles total). Those wishing to avoid the 1300' climb over the first six miles can meet us at the intersection of Wright's Lake Road and FS 32.

The full ride is Wellington NV, to Bridgeport CA, out and back, for a total of 90 miles. Roughly halfway to Bridgeport (~20 miles from Wellington) is Sweetwater Summit, where there will be a full rest stop with plenty of snacks, water, canned drinks, Gatorade, etc. In Bridgeport there are markets and cafes for food, or visit the city park for rest rooms and water.
At the finish, free pizza at the CG Bar in Wellington!
If you just want to do part of the route, you can ride to the rest stop and back and still join us for pizza, which will start between 2:30 and 3:30pm, depending on weather, participant spunkiness, etc.

Ride Title: Heart of Gold Gravel Ride
Description: Heart of Gold Gravel features courses with an overwhelming 75% on dirt. Definitely gravel, not "groad". The event was created with the impetus of youth mental wellness, and the effort to bring people together for that cause in Nevada County. This October 17th, we ride from Nevada City's Pioneer Park over three course options ranging from 28 - 70 miles. Each route features ample climbing and lots and lots of amazing dirt. This region is one of California's hidden gems. For a good cause, and on a great course, there's no good reason to miss out on Heart of Gold Gravel.
